Recognized by national media, applauded by audiences, and esteemed by critics, Sara stands as one of the most distinguished actresses of her generation and walks with excellence through the worlds of opera, musical theatre, TV, and film. She holds the distinction of being the only Latin American actress to play Christine Daaé in "The Phantom of the Opera" for two consecutive years in Brazil and, a decade later, in the Original 25th Anniversary World Tour. In Brazil, she also graced the stage as Cosette in "Les Miserables," Fiona in "Shrek," Jellylorum in "Cats," Anita in "West Side Story," Morticia in "Addams Family," Grace in "Annie," Dead Mum in "Billy Elliot," Rosalie Mullins in "School of Rock" (nominated Best Actress at the DID Awards), Glinda in "The Wizard of Oz," Mrs. Bucket in "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory" (nominated Best Supporting Actress at the DID Awards), Janet Van De Graaff in "The Drowsy Chaperone," (nominated Best Actress at the 2º Bibi Ferreira Awards) and Aldonza in "Man of La Mancha" (nominated Best Actress at the 3º Bibi Ferreira Awards).
In television, she made her mark in the Rede Record soap opera "Dona Xepa" and appeared in numerous TV ads. Sara showcased her talent as "Stella" in the critically acclaimed short film "Five Minutes" and served as a member of the Jury and vocal coach on the reality show "Talentos," a musical theatre talent show on Cultura Channel. Currently, she portrays Marita Bell in "The Chorus," a Disney Plus series released in Brazil and in 42 countries.
Sara's opera journey commenced at the age of fifteen with her debut in "The Magic Flute" as the Queen of the Night. Since then, she has been part of various productions such as "La Boheme" (Musetta) and "Carmen" (Micaela), along with solo performances in classical concerts.
To refine her acting skills, Sara sought guidance from coaches in the USA, including Ned Canty, John Norris, Ira Stiff, and Barbara Rubin. In Brazil, she participated in Beth Dorgan's Clown workshop, studied acting for film at Studio Fatima Toledo, and attended the International Academy of Cinema under Christian Duurvoort's mentorship. In the UK, she delved into the Meisner Technique with Scott Williams (Impulse Company) and acting at The Actor's Centre.
Apart from her artistic pursuits, Sara is a qualified speech and language pathologist and therapist, specializing in Artistic High Performance. She is the founder and head of "Casa da Voz," a virtual voice clinic. Sara played a pivotal role as the creator and Head of the Voice department at "The Musical Theater Conservatory at SESI-SP, Brazil." Her musical education includes training at the School of Music of Brasília, the University of Brasília, opera training in Milan with Rita Patané, the IVAI Summer Opera Program in Tel Aviv, Israel, with Joan Dornemann, Richard Barrett, musical theatre in New York with Christian Fletcher, Dan Gattinger, Mary Setrakian, and recent training in London with Anne Marie Speed (The Estill Method), Louise Shepherd, and Mary Hammond (Royal Academy of Music). She also served as the coordinator at Duetos School of Music in Fortaleza, Ceará, and during the pandemic, proudly contributed as a member of FIESP's COSIC - Superior Council of the entertainment industry.
